Content rules

You won’t create, upload or publish:

• sexual content involving anyone under 18, or that looks like it;
• nudity or explicit sexual acts;
• non-consensual intimate imagery, real or synthetic;
• real people’s likenesses or voices without their written permission;
• content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that incites violence or hatred against people;
• anything illegal where you or your viewers are, including material that infringes someone else’s rights.

Mature themes are fine when they are labeled — use the content note on your series page so viewers know what they are walking into. Nudity and explicit acts are not, on any lane: Koe never renders them, and won’t publish them from an upload either.

• Every upload is screened automatically before it can be published, and generations are checked as they run. A file that fails is rejected; the reason is shown on the episode row. If a check can’t run, the episode is held until a person at Koe reviews it.
• A human reviews a series before its first payout is released.
• When Koe removes something, it tells you why, and you can respond.
• Repeated or serious breaches close the account. A closed account cannot upload or publish, and pending payouts are held.
• Taking a series down never revokes a pass a viewer already bought.

If you believe content on Koe infringes your rights, email [email protected] with: the work you believe is infringed; where the content is on Koe (the address); your name and how to reach you; and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized by the rights holder or the law.

Koe follows a notice-and-takedown process. A valid notice takes the reported content offline while it is reviewed. The creator is told what was claimed and by whom, and can send a counter-notice, after which Koe may restore the content. Knowingly publishing someone else’s work ends the account.
