Koe Platform Terms — Creators

For anyone using Koe's tools or storefront on a self-serve basis — making clips, scenes and short videos with credits, or uploading videos you made elsewhere. Version 2026-09-15. Seasons — the serialized product with free episodes and a paywall, made by Koe's season pipeline from a manuscript or script — are covered by the Koe Author Terms and the Season Order instead, whether you commission a season or make it yourself.

Version 2026-09-15, effective September 15, 2026. This is the current version. Source (Markdown).

In short

You pay for credits; you own what you make. Koe takes nothing from clips, scenes or uploads — unless you sell them on your Koe storefront, where Koe keeps 20% of each pass and you keep 80%. A season made with Koe's season pipeline is a different product: it's ordered on a Season Order under the Author Terms ($499 per season, 20% on Koe, a 10% producer's point elsewhere), whether Koe makes it for you or you make it yourself. Don't upload what you don't have the rights to. Outputs are AI-generated video. Koe can remove content that breaks the rules. Either of us can close your account.

1. Your account

You must be 18 or older and give accurate details. You're responsible for what happens under your login. One person per account; no sharing.

2. Credits

Credits are bought in advance, are not refundable once bought, and are used when a generation starts, whether or not you keep the result. Credits don't expire while your account is open. Prices can change for future purchases with 30 days' notice; credits already bought keep their value.

3. What you own

You own the videos, images and audio you generate on Koe and the videos you upload, and all rights in them, to the extent the law allows for AI-generated work. Koe claims no ownership. Koe keeps its tools, models and processes. Character designs and voices you create are yours to reuse; Koe will not offer them to anyone else.

4. What you promise

You own or have permission to use everything you put into Koe — scripts, manuscripts, images, voices, uploads — and it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights. You won't create or upload: sexual content involving anyone under 18, or that looks like it; nudity or explicit sexual acts; real people's likenesses or voices without their written permission; content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that incites violence; or anything that breaks the content rules published at koe.sh/rules. If a claim is made against Koe because you broke a promise here, you cover Koe's losses and reasonable costs.

5. Your inputs

Koe uses what you put in only to make your outputs and run the service. Koe does not use your scripts, manuscripts or uploads to train or fine-tune any model, and requires the same of any provider that processes them. Delete your inputs any time; Koe removes its copies within 14 days.

6. AI disclosure

Videos generated on Koe are AI-generated. Where a platform or law requires you to say so when you publish, you will.

7. Selling on your Koe storefront

You may put any video you own behind a pass on your storefront. (Seasons made by the season pipeline are sold under the Author Terms, which include the producer's point; this section covers clips, scenes and uploads.) On each pass: 20% to Koe, 80% to you, after card-processing fees, sales taxes Koe must collect, and viewer refunds or chargebacks. Koe sets pass prices from a published list. Nothing is owed to Koe on anything you sell anywhere else, and Koe holds no back-end in clips, scenes or uploads.

8. Statements and payment

Monthly by direct deposit, by the 15th, with a statement listing every pass. You may audit Koe's relevant records once a year, on 30 days' notice, at your cost; if an audit shows Koe underpaid you by more than 10%, Koe pays the audit cost and the shortfall.

9. Your storefront and the network

Your storefront is yours; you choose what's on it and how it's described. If you turn on recommendations, readers who finish your season may be shown seasons you chose to recommend, and other creators may recommend yours; you can turn it off any time. Koe runs no ads and no algorithmic feed.

10. Content Koe may remove

Koe may decline to generate, or may remove, content that breaks section 4 or the published rules, that Koe reasonably believes infringes someone's rights, or that a court order or valid rights claim requires it to remove. Koe will tell you why, and you can respond. Repeated or serious breaches close the account.

11. Rights claims

If you believe content on Koe infringes your rights, email the address at koe.sh/rules with the details; Koe follows a notice-and-takedown process and may restore content that is counter-noticed.

12. Availability

Koe aims to keep the service running but can't promise it always will. Generation results vary; a result you don't like is not a failure of the service and credits are not returned for it. Koe is not liable for delays or downtime.

13. Koe's limits

Koe makes no promise about views, sales or earnings. Koe's total liability to you under these terms is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Koe in the 12 months before the claim. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses.

14. Closing your account

You can close your account any time; unused credits are not refunded, and videos you've downloaded stay yours. Koe can close an account for breach of these terms. On closing, your storefront comes down within 14 days and any balance owed to you is paid on the next statement date.

15. Changes

Koe may change these terms with 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply going forward only; they never change what you own or reduce a balance owed to you.

16. Law and disputes

Delaware law. Disputes go to good-faith negotiation, then mediation, then binding online arbitration under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules, each side bearing its own costs. These terms plus the published rules and privacy policy are the whole agreement. If a part is unenforceable, the rest stands. Electronic acceptance is valid. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship.

Versions

Every version ever published stays at its own address, with the file it was published from. An agreement names the version it was made under; later versions never apply to it.
